OUR HISTORY

Fourth edition of ATALAYA LAN. Ever since one began to work in this project almost five ago years we marked to a line of continuous improvement and evolution. Today we can say that ATALAYA LAN is a referring one to European level, and perhaps world-wide, on how molding and using the technology for its application in the Rural Development.
All the previous editions have developed very concrete subjects on the applied Technology to the Rural Development. Now, with this new edition, we want to close the first cycle and to rescue all the created one to come to its implantation. It is for that reason that ATALAYA LAN 2009 will not finish the 19 of July, but it will continue until securing a total implantation of the technological tools created or molded from his first edition in the 2006.
At the end of 2008 one was clear Berlanga de Duero and ATALAYA LAN by the European Commission like a Living Lab and, more concretely, like a model of Technology applied to the Development in the rural world. Also a prize by the same reason by the Foundation Territories of Tomorrow, in France.
The concept of Living Lab was born under the Finnish presidency of the European Union and intends to develop the innovation and, therefore, the new services and uses offered by the technology putting for it in contact to groups of people of different Public Organizations, Companies, SMEs, Universities, Research Centers, Associations, etc. and making a cascade of ideas to favor the innovation by means of a crossed fertilization of these ideas.
The Living Lab of Berlanga de Duero is a place of physical and virtual interchange of all those ideas related to the Technology and the Rural Development and whose conclusions and activities will be implanted, in one first stage, Berlanga de Duero and other rural municipalities of the province of Soria. The Knowledge like the best vector of the socioeconomic development of the zone, the Memory like the motor that moves to the Knowledge and the inhabitants of Berlanga de Duero like the main actors, is the axes on which east Living Lab is based. He is open to all person, company, organism public or deprived and associations that want to participate in an active way in the same. This Living Lab has a direct repercussion on the participant organisms, since when participating in the interchange, developed innovation and activities the new services and tie uses to the Technology benefit from an economic and technological interchange on and the Rural Development, besides other fields related to the Technology, since the Living Lab de Berlanga de Duero, independent of comprising of the project of European Union ENOLL (European Network of Living Labs), also comprises of an European network where already they exist more than 70 Living Labs.
With this brief presentation we give the welcome him to the Living Lab of Berlanga de Duero and to one of its main activities, ATALAYA LAN, at the same time as we want to them to make contributor of a direct way of this activity.
